An exciting day-trip to the search of the glory of the marine republic of Genoa and to the discovery of the thousands of species of fish that live in the oceans - all this in the lovely scenery of the imposing Porto Antico. In the morning visit to the famous Genoa Aquarium: fifty-nine pools with four million litres of water to reproduce - in a spectacular way - the habitat of the Mediterranean Sea and the oceans - from the Pole to the Tropics. Here more than five hundred species of fish, cetaceans and amphibians can live and reproduce themselves. A hanging footbridge over a marvellous scenery will take you to the fantastic world of seals, while you could get near to and even caress the elegant devil fishes in another part of the aquarium. In the afternoon visit to the Pavilion of Sea and Seafaring which can offer its visitors a new way to look at historical marine with an undoubtedly suggestive staging of scenes and aspects of Genoa in the past: the old piers, the ancient crafts shops and the reconstruction of ships - ranging from the brigantine to the liner. |
