Carnival in the Riviera

The joyful and lively Carnival of the marvelous Côte Azur, combined with the canonical Lemon festival, awaits you to let you live unforgettable moments during which you will feel like a genuine participant.

Arrival in the afternoon with check-in at your chosen hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and free evening.

In the morning, transfer to Nice, home of the first French carnival, a city with a truly international character. Visit to the Lascaris Palace, built in 1648 in Genovese Baroque style by the Lascaris-Ventimille family, with a beautiful façade consisting of balconies and balustrades decorated with flower wreaths. On its ground floor  is found an historic pharmacy from 1738. Inside, a monumental stairway leads to the extensive apartments filled with furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. Absolutely unmissable are the famous Promenade des Anglais and “Saleya Boulevard” for a relaxing and pleasant walk amongst the most chic boutiques and the most typical bistros. Lunch is free. In the afternoon you will attend  the colorful parade of the Carnival of Nice, an enthusiastic display of allegorical floats and folkloristic groups. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning, transfer to Menton, the city of Lemons. Throughout the  entire extent of the Biovès Gardens there are enormous structures covered with citrus fruits. They demonstrate a story in 12 sequences  that  is re-enacted every year. Lunch is free. In the afternoon, beauty and entertainment await with the great parade of the Lemon Festival, where the allegorical floats constructed out of the citrus fruits of the Riviera will be displayed on the boardwalk of the French village, followed by marching bands and folkloristic groups. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

We have to confirm that the indicated days are to be coordinated with the effective calendar of the day and night parades.

Our offer includes:

• Settling into one of our hotels, double room, half board.
• Transfer to Nice (Economy class) and entrance tickets to the Flower Battle (standing places).
• Transfer to Menton (Economy class) and entrance tickets to the Lemon Festival (standing places).
• The San Remo Card with free entrance to the gaming rooms of the San Remo Casino.

Our offer does not include:

• Round trips that are not included in “our offer includes”.
• Lunches and dinners are to be chosen from the menu of the day or the sampling menu offered by the chef. A la carte drinks or plates are to be paid on the spot.
• The suggested tours in the program are to be decided on freely, i.e.  without the services of a guide.
