The Riviera by Mountain Bike

A weekend dedicated to the mountain bike enthusiast, who will be able to measure their strength and stamina against our inland hills  while enjoying the splendid landscapes that are to be found in the mountains of the Riviera. The proposed tours are of course just a small example of the variety of routes that Western Liguria can offer in all seasons of the year, with different levels of difficulty.

Arrival in the afternoon with check-in at your chosen hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and free evening.

Departure from Pigna, from which as the first stage of your tour you will reach Castel Vittorio, a village submerged in green  meadows. From here you will reach Bajardo, a paradise situated among pine trees where the historic quarter overlooks the basin of the Nervia river, offering the visitor views of the beauty of the maritime Alps. You will then proceed towards Apricale, whose name means “revealed at noon”, from the Latin word “Apricus”.  This is an ancient and characteristic medieval fortified village that stands on a hill facing  the Merdanzo Valley. On the way back the last stage reaches Isolabona: a village built so to resemble a chessboard between two rivers. To reach the village you will need to cross a bridge, then after a small arch under the first houses the path will lead to a small square where there is a fountain made in an octagonal shaped stone that dates from 1486. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning after breakfast, the second day of the tour will begin, which will start and end in Ventimiglia. The top of the route will be at the peak of Grammondo mountain, which from the top of its 1376 m of altitude allows a marvelous view of Ventimiglia as well as Menton. Departure in the afternoon for your home town.

• Safe shelter for your bike and a map for your excursions.
• Upon request, arrangements with customized services for bike riders are available (guides, massages, shops, etc.)

Our offer does not include:

• Round trips that are not included in “our offer includes”.
• Lunches and dinners are to be chosen from the menu of the day or the sampling menu offered by the chef. A la carte drinks or plates are to be paid on the spot.
• The suggested tours in the program are to be decided on freely, i.e. without the services of  a guide.
