Sanremo in Flowers

The Riviera of Flowers will be for your weekend the richest and most scented bouquet of the most wonderful colors, with the parade of the flower wagons, the traditional carnival of Sanremo.

Arrival in the afternoon and check-in at the chosen hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and free evening to try your luck at the game rooms of the Sanremo Municipal Casino. Return at the hotel and overnight stay.

In the morning, transfer towards the Palafiori of Sanremo where you can visit the Festival of Flowers, the Mediterranean Flower Cultivation Salon, that will host a wonderful flower exhibition of over 5000 square meters with the creations of the most capable local flower breeders. At the Festival of Flowers you will also admire the works of the greatest Italian flower masters, that will face the Sanremo Bouquet competition: the winner will have the honor to realize the bouquets that will be offered to the winner of the Italian Music Festival. Lunch in a typical restaurant where you will try the specialties of the local cuisine. In the afternoon you can visit the interesting historical district, the Pigna. Admired by Italo Calvino, that has described it in “I sentieri dei Nidi di Ragno” (the paths of the Spider Nests), the Pigna still preserves nowadays the allure of the ancient medieval village and allows the most curious tourist to discover an unseen Sanremo, made by steep streets and steps, arches and counterforts, silent and isolated squares.

In the morning, transfer to Sanremo to assist comfortably from the seats of the stands at the parade of the Flower wagons, that will allow you to admire a sequence of decorated wagons with thousands of flowers of every color, full of effects and precious decorations. It’s a day to live intensely surrounded by the most beautiful perfumes and the flowers of the Riviera! The event is being recorded by the video cameras of Raiuno. Free lunch and departure in the afternoon.
