Whale watching in the Mediterranean

Come with us at the discovery of the fauna of the seven seas and the history of its exploration through marvelous aquariums and well documented museums, also by sighting the great cetaceans of the Mediterranean in their natural habitat: the whale sanctuary.

Arrival in the afternoon with check-in at the chosen hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and free evening to try your luck at the game rooms of the Sanremo Municipal Casino. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

In the morning, transfer at the Porto Vecchio of Sanremo and departure for the excursion aboard the Diana II motorboat. An emotional sea promenade awaits you, lasting 5 hours, at the discovery of whales, sperm whales and dolphins in their natural environment. The cetacean sanctuary, a triangular protected sea space between Italy, France and Corsica has become throughout the years a very important reality for all the marine fauna lovers. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning, transfer to the Principality of Monaco to visit the famous Oceanographic Museum. Founded in 1910 by Prince Albert I, this exceptional museum, dedicated to al the marine sciences, hosts several species of preserved marine animals and ship models and equipment used by the pioneers of ocean exploration. The aquarium offers to the visitor a fascinating show of an exuberant marine fauna and flora. The rare species of fish coming from the most remote seas jump around 90 tanks directly filled with sea water. Afterwards you can continue your visit at the Rocca (the Rock), the ancient city of the Principality, where you can walk through artisan shops and other small shops and visit the beautiful cathedral dedicated to Saint Nicolas, built in 1875 in white stone of the Turbie, and assist at the traditional change of the guard in front of the Palace of the Prince. Departure in the afternoon.

The Whale watching excursions are subject to season and weather conditions.
